Why Does Trustap need Information about sellers?

At Trustap, security is our top priority. That's why we ask sellers to provide some personal information when they create an account. Here's a breakdown of why this is important:

• Safe Transactions: We use your information to verify your identity, following regulations set by Stripe (our payment processor). This helps prevent fraud and keeps everyone safe when buying and selling on Trustap. For more information, check Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Getting Paid Quickly: Before we can send you your earnings as a seller, we need to verify your payout details like your bank account.

Where can you complete your account?

As a Seller, we require you to enter your Personal and payout details and to verify your identity  under the ‘My Profile’ section of your account.

What information does Trustap need?

The specific information we require depends on your country, but it typically includes:

• Basic details like your name, date of birth (Must be 18 or older), and residential address and phone number
• Your bank account information so we can send you your money
• A government-issued photo ID and a selfie to verify your identity

For certain countries, we might also need your social security number or another official ID number.

What type of Identity Documents can you use?

Acceptable documents vary per country. Here are some examples:

For all other countries, a scan or clear passport photograph is always acceptable and preferred.

Unless explicitly noted, only a scan of the front of the document is required. 

The photograph or scan must be a JPEG or PNG file smaller than 10 MB. PDF files can't be verified. The files should be in colour, rotated with the image right-side up, and have all information clearly legible.
