Supported forms of identification in the United States

Trustap and Stripe first attempt to verify your details automatically. If this fails, we may ask you to confirm your identity by providing a government-issued ID and a selfie. You can upload these documents directly to your Trustap profile for verification.

Supported forms of identification

If you are located in the United States, you can use any of the following documents to verify your account:

• Passport

• Passport card

• Driver license

• State-issued ID card

• Resident permit ID / U.S. Green Card

• Border crossing card

• Child ID card

• NYC card

• U.S. visa card

Document requirements

To ensure your verification is processed quickly, please follow these file requirements:

• View: Only a scan of the front of the document is required unless otherwise noted.

• File format: Use JPEG or PNG files only.

• File size: Ensure the file is smaller than 10 MB.

• Legibility: Use colour images that are right-side up with all information clearly visible.

Note: PDF files cannot be verified by our system.
